GPR FIELD TECHNICIAN

F3 is currently interviewing for GPR Field Technicians to assist in the deliver of concrete inspection and underground utility locating services to clients.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Work under the direction of F3 & Associates project manager(s).

  • Must be able to learn how to use GPR equipment and other equipment to complete GPR projects.

  • Previous GPR experience is preferred, but not necessary (training will be provided).

  • Various office tasks include equipment and vehicle maintenance, kick off meetings and project management.

  • Complete assignments and projects within assigned time frame.

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients to ensure that quality and accuracy commitments are met.

 Requirements:

  • Must have a good driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.

  • Strong communication skills with clients, and organized with an acute attention to detail.

  • Must be self-motivated and very professional with a strong work ethic.

  • Physical strength and endurance to perform field work.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions on small to large construction sites.

FIELD SURVEY TECHNICIAN

This person will be a member of a survey crew and assist in operating survey equipment on large scale projects in petrochemical, commercial construction, and industrial environments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.

  • Ability to perform survey field work safely, and work outside in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong work ethic and accountability.

Experience:

  • One year of field survey experience is preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Leica 3D scanners, and related software applications is preferred.

  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

  • Good math and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to make decisions with the company’s best interest in mind.

  • Demonstrate a professional manner while communicating with co-workers and clients.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be insurable at the firm’s standard rates and pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.

  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Willing to travel is a plus.

LAND SURVEYOR / PARTY CHIEF

This position will be in charge of operating survey equipment on large projects in petrochemical, commercial construction, and industrial environments. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of field notes, layout coordination and calculation sheets.

  • Manage survey crews and projects.

  • Ability to perform survey field work, and work outside in all weather conditions.

  • Coordinate findings of work with construction and engineering personnel, and others concerned with a project.

  • Brief project managers on projects as they are being completed.

Experience:

Three years minimum of field surveying including topography and construction staking.  3D laser scanning experience is a plus.

  • Familiar with relevant equipment such as Trimble Robotic Total Station, digital and conventional levels, Leica 3D scanners, and related software applications.

  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping desirable but not required.

  • Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is a plus.
